Florence is a city located in the Tuscany region of Italy. It is the capital of the province of Florence and the most populous city in Tuscany, with approximately 382,000 inhabitants. The city dates back to the Etruscan period and has been continuously inhabited for over 2,500 years. It is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance and has been a major cultural, artistic, and commercial center for centuries. Some of the city's most famous landmarks include the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Palazzo Pitti.

The history of Bucharest can be traced back to the 14th century when it was first mentioned in documents as a village called "Câmpulung". In the 16th century, it became the capital of Wallachia. The city grew rapidly in the 18th century, and by the end of the century it had a population of over 100,000. Bucharest became the capital of Romania in 1862. The city suffered extensive damage during World War II, but it was rebuilt and grew rapidly in the following decades. Today, Bucharest is the largest city in Romania and the 6th largest city in the European Union.

“Within all of us is a varying amount of space lint and star dust, the residue from our creation. Most are too busy to notice it, and it is stronger in some than others. It is strongest in those of us who fly and is responsible for an unconscious, subtle desire to slip into some wings and try for the elusive boundaries of our origin.” – K.O. Eckland
